Hoteleros de turismo reclaman medidas de emergencia
Son 200 lo estabablecimientos que dejaron de funcionar. Hay 15 mil puestos de trabajo que corren riesgo.
La Asociación de Hoteles de Turismo (AHT) reclamó al Gobierno medidas económicas para evitar el “cierre definitivo” de sus establecimientos y la pérdida de 15.000 puestos de trabajo, como consecuencia de la emergencia sanitaria producto del coronavirus.
El presidente de la entidad, Roberto Amengual, advirtió que ya hay más de 200 hoteles cerrados y que, por lo tanto, no perciben ingresos.
“Estamos sin generación de flujo de caja que nos permita hacer frente a compromisos de todo tipo, siendo el más importante los sueldos de nuestro personal”, explicó el titular de la entidad que enrola a hoteles de cuatro y cinco estrellas del país.
Amengual puntualizó que una de las medidas válidas para el sector puede ser el otorgamiento de créditos “siempre que las condiciones sean viables”, para una “lenta recuperación a futuro”.
Señaló que “el Programa de Recuperación Productiva sólo tendrá utilidad en caso de que sea implementable en establecimientos con 70 empleados o más, el promedio de puestos de trabajo que generan nuestros establecimientos”.
