La mejor actuación argentina desde los Juegos de 1948
La gran jornada de este martes determinó que en Río de Janeiro la Argentina ya haya logrado la mejor actuación olímpica desde los Juegos de Londres 1948.
Gracias al extraordinario oro logrado por la dupla de yachting conformada por Santiago Lange y Cecilia Carranza en Nacra 17, la delegación albiceleste ya cosecha dos medallas doradas (la otra, la de Paula Pareto en judo) y una de plata, aportada por Juan Martín Del Potro.
Pero además, la clasificación de los Leones a la final del hockey masculino hace que el equipo conducido por Carlos Retegui sume como mínimo la plateada, mejorando la tarea realizada en Atenas 2004 (dos doradas y cuatro de bronce).
Hasta el momento, la actuación más fructífera de la Argentina en la historia de los Juegos Olímpicos fue en Londres 1948, donde nuestro país se subió siete veces al podio (tres medallas doradas, tres de plata y una de bronce). Le sigue la tarea en Berlín 1936, con igual cantidad de preseas, pero repartidas en dos doradas, dos de plata y tres de bronce.
Cabe destacar que en los Juegos Olímpicos el orden en el medallero no está conformado por la cantidad de medallas, sino por las de oro y, en caso de igualdad, cuántas de plata y bronce logra cada país.
