Murió el cerebro del ataque de Bangladesh
La policía anunció que abatió a tres supuestos yihadistas, incluido el autor intelectual del atentado a un local gastronómico en Dacca en el que murieron 22 personas y del que huyó Diego Rossini, un chef argentino.
La Policía de Bangladesh anunció haber matado este sábado a tres supuestos yihadistas, incluido el cerebro del ataque a un restaurante de lujo en Dacca el julio pasado en el que murieron 22 personas y varias fueron tomadas de rehenes, entre ellas un chef argentino Diego Rossini.
Tamim Chaudhry, considerado el líder de una facción del grupo extremista local Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), fue abatido a primera hora en la localidad de Narayanganj después de que agentes irrumpieran en una vivienda utilizada como escondite, explicaron fuentes de la unidad antiterrorista a los medios Bdnews24 y The Daily Star.
De acuerdo con esta versión, los supuestos yihadistas abrieron fuego contra las fuerzas policiales y se produjo un tiroteo.
La comandancia de la Policía había identificado a principios de agosto al canadiense de origen bangladesí Chaudhry como “cerebro” del asalto al local Holey Artisan Bakery-O’Kitchen lanzado el pasado 1 de julio por un comando leal al grupo Estado Islámico (EI) y que causó la muerte de 22 personas, entre ellas 17 rehenes extranjeros.
Rossini, de 41 años de edad, logró escapar cuando irrumpieron los extremistas al local y escondido dio testimonio de lo que estaba viviendo.
“Están tirando tiros. Por favor, llamen a la Policía. Me he escondido en la terraza”, describió Rossini en un foro de una red social, para un par de horas después confirmar por Facebook que estaba “vivo” tras haber conseguido escapar.
Posteriormente el argentino explicó cómo vivió los hechos confirmando que sólo tiene un golpe producto de haber saltado a un edificio colindante.
“Desde donde estaba en la zona de la cocina vi que había movimientos y cuando comenzaron a atacar pude escapar a la terraza”, precisó.
El relato del argentino se tornó dramático cuando reveló que los extremistas “iban y venían corriendo buscando gente para matar”.
“Me pasó una bala cerca de la cabeza y pude verlo a la cara al que me disparó, pero no sé cuántos eran. Un italiano que estaba conmigo dijo que eran entre cuatro y seis”, relató en ese momento.
