Murió Juan Carlos Mesa
Juan Carlos Mesa murió en la mañana del 2 de agosto a los 86 años.
Según pudo saber Teleshow desde el entorno familiar de Mesa, el autor, director y actor estaba internado en el Sanatorio de la Trinidad. “Hace bastante que estaba mal”, dijeron a Teleshow y señalaron que una insuficiencia renal complicó su salud en los últimos días.
Nacido en Córdoba, el humorista también se desempeñó como director de cine y guionista. Uno de sus últimos trabajos fue como panelista en el programa de Mariana Fabbiani, RSM.
La fertilidad fue el rasgo más notable de la carrera de Mesa, pero aún más notable que la cantidad resultó el detalle de ese copioso aporte a la mejor antología del humor en la radio y en la televisión local, con menores contribuciones para el cine y el teatro. Mesa escribió para todos los grandes capocómicos y figuras centrales de la comedia local a lo largo de tres décadas, y en casi todos los casos hizo que cada una de ellas brillara, viviera probablemente sus mejores momentos y acentuara todavía más los rasgos de su propia identidad y la mejor conexión con el público.
Había llegado a Buenos Aires con la tarea expresa de escribir para Jorge Porcel (Los sueños del Gordo Porcel). Con el tiempo le tocó hacer lo mismo con Carlos Balá (El clan Balá), Joe Rígoli (Bonete), Tato Bores (De Tato para todos, Tato vs. Tato, Tato %), Pepe Biondi (Festibiondi), Juan Verdaguer (Verdaguer y sus inquilinos de alquiler) y Alberto Olmedo (El chupete). También se sumó a elencos autorales de ciclos de sketches que hicieron historia, como La Tuerca y Hupumorpo, y otros con menor repercusión: La matraca, Frac, Flash, Llámele Hache, Las hormigas, Asado con cuentos. Y como si todo esto fuera poco, se lució todavía más como libretista de exitosas telecomedias, de Mi cuñado y Gorosito y señora (brillantes precursoras locales del modelo clásico de sitcom) a Stress y Brigada cola.
