Ponen en funcionamiento un hospital de campaña en el Servicio Penitenciario de Jujuy
El gobernador de Jujuy, Gerardo Morales, puso en funcionamiento hoy un hospital de campaña en el establecimiento del Servicio Penitenciario 2 de Jujuy, ubicado en el barrio capitalino Alto Comedero, destinado a internos y detenidos en comisarías.
Así lo informó la gobernación al resaltar que el lugar cuenta con una capacidad de 56 camas y la posibilidad de extenderlas a 160, con tubos de oxígeno y recursos médicos.
Fueron preparadas salas para casos graves de coronavirus y con síntomas leves y moderados, además de otros sectores necesarios para el tratamiento de quienes puedan resultar con diagnostico positivo de la enfermedad.
“Creo que esto es un paso más para garantizar primero la salud, no sólo de los internos en el Penitenciario sino también para los detenidos en comisarías, de modo tal de que tengan acá un sistema de atención primaria”, señaló el mandatario jujeño al inaugurar el espacio.
Y, adelantó que esperan que el lugar siga funcionando “después de que pase la pandemia porque queremos tener un centro de salud dentro del Penitenciario”.
Morales destacó la capacidad de alojamiento del lugar y señaló que “tiene una dimensión importante, con equipos de oxígeno y con personal capacitado”.
Por otro lado, el ministro de Seguridad de Jujuy, Ekel Meyer, resaltó que el hospital de campaña “cuenta con una capacidad extendible para 160 camas” y que el hecho de contar con el espacio “minimiza totalmente el riesgo para los internos y quienes los cuidan”.
