Provincia y municipio piden más recursos para salud
Aún sin demasiadas precisiones de cómo será la implementación de la Cobertura Universal de Salud (CUS) anunciada por el gobierno nacional, las autoridades de salud tanto de la provincia como del municipio recalcaron que los criterios de universalidad y la nominalización de pacientes que propone Nación “es algo que Santa Fe y Rosario tienen incorporado desde hace décadas”.
Así lo remarcaron el ministro santafesino, Miguel González, y el secretario municipal, Leonardo Caruana. Si bien ambos participaron de las discusiones de cómo se implantarán esas políticas en la provincia, González recalcó que más allá del CUS la provincia gestionó ante la Nación fondos para poder avanzar en el plan de infraestructura, lo que significaría poder volver a poner en marcha las obras del Hospital Regional Sur, además de aportes para la renovación de equipamiento.

“A diferencia de otras provincias, Santa Fe no accedió en los últimos años a ningún financiamiento para fortalecer la red pública, por lo que presentó a Nación el plan de infraestructura que está en marcha en la provincia y que podría acelerarse en caso de acceder a fondos federales”, indicó el ministro.
González detalló que están en marcha hospitales de tercer nivel, como el de Venado Tuerto, que se finalizará a fin de año, y algunos de segundo nivel están terminados. En el caso de Rosario, la mayor expectativa está puesta sobre el Hospital Regional Sur, una obra paralizada y que si bien se licitaría este año el cerramiento, el funcionario destacó que “así y todo quedarían dos etapas más, de las más costosas”.
En cuanto al equipamiento, el titular de la cartera sanitaria señaló que se gestionaron fondos “para la renovación de equipos, sobre todo de diagnóstico por imágenes, como tomógrafos y resonadores que deben ser actualizados y que son muy costosos”.
Plan universal. Tanto el ministro como el secretario de Salud participaron el lunes del Consejo Federal de Salud (Cofesa) realizado en Tucumán, donde el ministro del área a nivel nacional, Jorge Lemus, avanzó en lo que será la implementación del plan anunciado por el presidente, Mauricio Macri.
“Se hizo hincapié en la cobertura universal para el sector de la población sin seguridad social, algo que Rosario viene haciendo desde hace más de 20 años; y de la universalidad de las prestaciones, además de la equidad en el acceso y la gratuidad en la atención”, recordó Caruana; al tiempo que González a nivel provincial incluso recalcó que esos son criterios con los cuales “la provincia trabaja desde hace varias décadas y no me refiero sólo a la gestión socialista, sino anteriormente también”.
Los funcionarios no obtuvieron muchos detalles más sobre lo que será la implementación puntual, aunque el funcionario provincial insistió en que a la hora de ver el caso específico de Santa Fe, se pedirá “unificar criterios y ver la implementación de un modelo de gestión que no dificulte el uso de los recursos disponibles; sino poder utilizarlos y luego rendir cuentas”.
