Se realizan testeos de hepatitis y colocan vacunas
El Ministerio de Salud de la Provincia de Santa Fe y la Secretaría de Salud Pública de la Municipalidad de Rosario adhieren al “Día Mundial contra la hepatitis” que se conmemoró el 28 de julio, con una serie de actividades durante el mes de agosto.
El lema del año 2016 es “Día Mundial de Hepatitis Virales: Hepatitis C, detectar para curar”. La campaña hace hincapié en que, en general, la hepatitis sigue siendo desconocida como amenaza sanitaria en gran parte del mundo.
El objetivo es pasar de la sensibilización al compromiso y la acción, a fin de afrontar la “epidemia silenciosa” de la hepatitis viral.
Los virus de la hepatitis A, B, C, D y E pueden causar infección e inflamación grave y crónica del hígado, que a su vez puede dar lugar a cirrosis y cáncer del hígado.
Estos virus representan un importante riesgo sanitario mundial, reflejado en los 240 millones de personas que padecen infección crónica con el virus de la hepatitis B, y unos 150 millones con el de la hepatitis C.
El “Día Mundial contra la Hepatitis” ofrece una oportunidad para centrar la atención en medidas específicas tales como:
-fortalecer las actividades de prevención, detección y control de la hepatitis viral y sus enfermedades conexas
-aumentar la cobertura vacunal contra la hepatitis B
-incorporar la vacuna en los programas nacionales de inmunización
-coordinar una respuesta mundial contra la hepatitis.
Las actividades tienen como finalidad, informar y concientizar a la población sobre las hepatitis virales, dar a conocer las formas de contagio, la prevención, que estudios sirven para la detección, e informar sobre la existencia de vacunas para la hepatitis A y B.
Cronograma de actividades en Rosario
Se realizará testeo de hepatitis B, C, HIV y VDRL.
Se ofrecerá vacunas para hepatitis B, para iniciar o completar esquemas a partir de los 20 años de edad. Cabe remarcar que deben asistir con DNI y carnet (si lo tienen).
Martes 2 de agosto: Distrito Oeste (avenida Presidente Perón 4602), de 8:30 hs a 13 hs.
Jueves 4 de agosto: Distrito Sudoeste – (avenida Francia 4435), de 8:30 hs a 13 hs.
Martes 9 de agosto: Distrito Centro (Wheelwright 1486), de 8:30 hs a 13 hs.
En los próximos días se darán a conocer las fechas y horarios de los demás distritos.
Cabe destacar que los testeos y la vacunación para hepatitis B se encuentran disponibles en todos los efectores de salud pública de la provincia.
