Son muchas más mujeres que hombres las que juegan con Pokémon Go
Un estudio afirma que el número de mujeres que juegan a Pokémon Go es bastante más alto que el de hombres.
La empresa de encuestas online SurveyMonkey afirma que un 63 % de los usuarios del juego en Estados Unidos son mujeres, frente a un 37 % de hombres.
Según la firma de Palo Alto de California la edad media de los jugadores de la aplicación de moda se sitúa alrededor de los 25 años. De hecho, un 46 % de los usuarios de Pokémon Go pertenece a la franja de edad de 18 a 29 años, precisamente la generación que vivió los orígenes en de Pokémon en la Game Boy durante su infancia.
El estudio, que Forbes resume con el siguiente gráfico, también tiene en cuenta el nivel de ingresos de los jugadores, inferior a 50.000 dólares anuales para el 45,8 % de los jugadores.
Niantic, el estudio de San Francisco que ha desarrollado de Pokémon Go, no ha confirmado estos datos, pero su máximo responsable, John Hanke, ha afirmado que “estaría sorprendido en caso de que fueran ciertos”. De hecho, su anterior juego, Ingress, tenía una mayor proporción de usuarios hombres.
El product manager de móviles en SurveyMonkey, Robbie Allen, ha detallado al medio norteamericano que este estudio surge de una extrapolación realizada a partir de los datos de alrededor de un millón de usuarios de móviles Android y iOS.
Pokémon Go ya está disponible en 37 países y, según afirma esta empresa de encuestas online, está generando 6 millones de dólares diarios gracias a las compras dentro de la aplicación. Paralelamente, la misma firma apuntó hace una semana los primeros síntomas de declive en el número de usuarios diarios en Estados Unidos desde que la aplicación se estrenó con un gran éxito el pasado 6 de julio.
