SOS Música rinde homenaje al General San Martín
El primer concierto de la Orquesta del Proyecto SOS Música, después de su participación en el Seminario y Festival Nacional de Orquestas de Sonidos de la Tierra, en Paraguay, será este miércoles, en el marco de un acto escolar. Los jóvenes se presentarán a las 10.30, en la Escuela Industrial Superior (Junín 2850), esta vez bajo la batuta de su nuevo director. Se trata del joven Leandro Valdez, director, pianista y arreglador, quien actualmente se desempeña al frente del Ensamble Sinfónico del Litoral, banda de vientos independiente, y como tecladista de la banda de Matt Hungo Funky Blues Hot Band.
En cuanto al repertorio que interpretará la Orquesta, se podrán escuchar “Les Moissoneurs” de François Couperin, “Chorale St. Antoni” de Joseph Haydn, “Lead me, Lord” de Samuel Sebastian Wesley, y la chacarera “La vieja” de los hermanos Díaz, con arreglos de Melisa Rodríguez.
Sobre el director
Leandro Valdez tiene 26 años. Es oriundo de la ciudad de Sastre (Departamento San Martín, Santa Fe). Estudiante de Dirección Orquestal en el Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Sus primeros contactos con la música fueron desde muy pequeño y dentro del ámbito de la música popular. Egresó en 2016 de la Academia Yamaha de Órgano Electrone. Entre el año 2000 y 2009 formó parte de la Banda del Liceo Municipal de Sastre. En 2010 ingresó a la carrera de Dirección Orquestal. Formó parte de diversas agrupaciones de música popular abarcando géneros como el funk, blues, rock y folclore, y de música académica, desempeñando los roles de pianista, tecladista y arreglador.
