SOS Música rindió homenaje al Padre la Patria
Luego de su participación en el Seminario y Festival Nacional de Orquestas de Sonidos de la Tierra, en Paraguay, la Orquesta del Proyecto SOS Música brindó su primer concierto en nuestra ciudad.
Lo hizo en el acto en conmemoración del fallecimiento del General San Martín, en la Escuela Industrial Superior. En esta oportunidad, los jóvenes músicos estuvieron bajo la batuta de su nuevo director. Se trata del joven Leandro Valdez, director, pianista y arreglador, actualmente se desempeña al frente del Ensamble Sinfónico del Litoral, banda de vientos independiente, y como tecladista de la banda de Matt Hungo Funky Blues Hot Band.
En la Hall de ingreso, este miércoles por la mañana, alumnos, docentes y autoridades de la Escuela se deleitaron con los acordes y el sonido de las cuerdas de la Orquesta, que interpretó “Les Moissoneurs” de François Couperin, “Chorale St. Antoni” de Joseph Haydn, “Lead me, Lord” de Samuel Sebastian Wesley. Como cierre, los jóvenes músicos interpretaron la chacarera “La vieja” de los hermanos Díaz, con arreglos de Melisa Rodríguez, que fue celebrada con el aplauso sostenido de todo los presentes, para los jóvenes músicos y director.
Cabe recordar que del 18 al 21 de julio, la Orquesta de SOS Música participó en el Seminario y Festival Nacional del Programa Sonidos de la Tierra, en Colonia Neuland, Paraguay. Fue la primera experiencia en el exterior, representando a Santa Fe y al país, siendo la única delegación de Argentina, entre las más de 50 delegaciones que participaron
Continuidad y crecimiento
Tras el viaje a Paraguay, y ante esta nueva presentación, el coordinador del Programa Música del Gobierno de la Ciudad, Gustavo Nardi, señaló que “desde la Orquesta seguimos creciendo y evolucionando con nuevos desafíos, y en este caso con la incorporación de Leandro Valdez como nuevo director de la Orquesta del Proyecto SOS Música”.
En este sentido, indicó que “todo cambio es una buena oportunidad para poder generar nuevas formas de funcionamiento y de plantearse nuevos objetivos. En este caso, vamos a estar profundizando aún más el trabajo dándole una mayor rigurosidad. Esto también es un desafío para los chicos, pero sabemos que ellos tienen mucho para dar”.
El funcionario de la Secretaría de Cultura explicó que actualmente son siete los grupos que están trabajando, seis de los cuales son de instrumentos de cuerda y uno de viento. “Son aproximadamente 300 los chicos que regularmente asisten a las clases, que se desarrollan tres veces por semana”. En esta línea, destacó: “Es una labor fantástica, y desde la Secretaría de Cultura siempre estamos buscando todos los medios, no sólo para ofrecer los instrumentos, sino para acompañar a los chicos en todo este proceso y que de repente, la música, de ser un entretenimiento pase a ser una vocación y una profesión”.
Desafíos
Por su parte, el flamante director, Leandro Valdéz, destacó que “es un gran desafío, porque aunque a veces no resulta fácil tratar con niños y adolescentes que están en la escuela secundaria. Sin embargo, es muy lindo cuando uno llega y encuentra el entusiasmo y la alegría que tienen para trabajar y hacer música. Y, eso, es una de las cosas que a uno más me motivan”.
“La idea es trabajar en la música, para que la Orquesta siga avanzando, ellos toquen cada vez mejor y se sientan cómodos haciendo lo que están haciendo, abordando distintos repertorios. La idea es, simplemente, seguir creciendo”, sintetizó.
Asimismo, destacó que uno de los mayores desafíos pasa por su integración al grupo “para que no se sientan invadidos por una persona nueva que llega y se mete en algo que es de ellos. Porque creo, que en este tipo de proyecto las organizaciones brindan la oportunidad, pero el espacio se forma si el chico va y se queda. Por lo tanto, este espacio es de ellos” sostuvo.
SOS Música
Desde que comenzó a desarrollarse, más de 1000 chicos accedieron a este Proyecto que impulsa el Gobierno de la Ciudad. Hoy, con más de 300 los alumnos que participan en alguno de los siete núcleos donde se lleva adelante SOS Música: la Escuela Gálvez (barrio Cabaña Leiva), Escuela Falucho (barrio Barranquitas), Escuela Malvinas Argentinas (barrio Las Flores), Escuela Juan Manuel de Rosas (barrio El Pozo), Escuela Brigadier López (barrio Guadalupe Oeste) Parroquia Jesús Resucitado (barrio Alto Verde) y Escuela Ceferino Namuncurá (barrio Yapeyú).
El equipo docente está integrado por más de 20 profesores, egresados en su mayoría del Liceo Municipal “Antonio Fuentes del Arco” y del Instituto Superior de Música (UNL). En cuanto a elementos necesarios para el desarrollo de sus actividades, las orquestas cuentan con 127 violines, 17 violas, 49 violoncellos, 9 contrabajos, 4 trompetas, 3 saxos, 3 clarinetes, 4 flautas, 3 trombones, un eufonio y una batería más accesorios de percusión, aportados mediante el esfuerzo del Municipio y a partir del compromiso de instituciones, fundaciones, empresas y particulares que se sumaron apoyando esta propuesta.
Sobre el director
Leandro Valdez tiene 26 años. Es oriundo de la ciudad de Sastre (Departamento San Martín, Santa Fe). Estudiante de Dirección Orquestal en el Instituto Superior de Música de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Sus primeros contactos con la música fueron desde muy pequeño y dentro del ámbito de la música popular. Egresó en 2016 de la Academia Yamaha de Órgano Electrone. Entre el año 2000 y 2009 formó parte de la Banda del Liceo Municipal de Sastre. En 2010 ingresó a la carrera de Dirección Orquestal. Formó parte de diversas agrupaciones de música popular abarcando géneros como el funk, blues, rock y folclore, y de música académica, desempeñando los roles de pianista/tecladista y arreglador.
