Turista pensó que un cocodrilo era de plástico, posó junto a él y terminó en el hospital
El reptil arrastró al hombre al agua luego de agarrarlo con su mandíbula por el brazo, de donde los médicos sacaron un colmillo de cinco centímetros.
La víctima presentó fracturas óseas y ocho heridas en el brazo y el muslo izquierdos.

Nehemias Chipada de 68 años, fue atacado en un parque temático en Filipinas por un cocodrilo al que se acercó pensando que era un modelo de plástico. La víctima se metió en el estanque del reptil para sacarse una foto con él.

El sujeto, mientras posaba con el teléfono en una mano, el cocodrilo se abalanzó sobre su brazo y lo arrastró hacia el agua. Tras el incidente, el hombre fue atendido por el personal del centro turístico y después trasladado al hospital.

Los exámenes médicos determinaron que el hombre presentaba fracturas óseas y ocho heridas en el brazo y el muslo izquierdos que requirieron puntos de sutura. Además, tuvo que ser operado varias veces, ya que un colmillo de cinco centímetros se le quedó alojado en el brazo.
Los familiares de Chipada, responsabilizan al centro turístico del accidente, ya que junto al recinto del reptil no había carteles que alertaran de la necesidad de mantenerse alejados del reptil.
Por su parte, el parque aceptó hacerse cargo de los costos del tratamiento del paciente pero negó haber sido negligente en el aviso a los turistas.
El director general del parque temático, Peter Guibone, informó que no se había registrado ningún accidente de este tipo desde que el complejo abrió sus puertas en 2017, ya que sus animales salvajes se encuentran dentro de las instalaciones del Arca de Noé, una estructura que se asemeja a la nave bíblica.
