Un taxista rosarino recibió un trasplante de corazón
Marcos Berón, de 40 años, se encontraba en estado crítico y en lista de emergencia nacional. El órgano llegó ayer desde Bahía Blanca.
Marcos Berón, un taxista rosarino de 40 años que estaba en lista de emergencia nacional, recibió ayer un trasplante de corazón y presenta signos favorables de evolución. Se encuentra internado en el Sanatorio Parque. Según su familia y las autoridades del centro médico, las próximas 72 horas serán determinantes para conocer su pronóstico.
“Esto es increíble, muchas emociones juntas, es como una nueva oportunidad que nos da la vida después de tanta angustia. Estamos realmente muy felices porque todo indica que salió bien”, le confió ayer a La Capital su esposa Rita, emocionada, con la voz cortada, quien pidió especialmente agradecer al departamento de trasplantes del Sanatorio Parque, conducido por el doctor José Luis Sgrosso.
“Los doctores, las enfermeras y las mucamas, todos se portaron increíblemente bien con nosotros. La verdad es que no tenemos más que palabras de agradecimiento”, agregó la mujer, quien explicó que su marido debe estar siete días aislado en observación, en el mismo sanatorio, para seguir de cerca el proceso de adaptación del nuevo corazón.
“Lo único que sabemos es que el corazón vino de Bahía Blanca. No tenemos muchos datos más”, reveló la esposa, entusiasmada con los primeros síntomas de evolución que exhibió Berón tras la importante cirugía.
Rita y Marcos hace 17 años que están juntos y tienen a la pequeña Milagros, de 5 años, cuyo nombre —y sus ojos— exponen el amparo que cobijaron este complicado trasplante. “Por suerte hasta ahora viene todo bien. Marcos es muy fuerte, está bien anímicamente, y la está llevando de buena manera”, se encargó de remarcar Rita.
“Nosotros no lo podemos ver, así que vamos y venimos cuando entregan los partes médicos”, aclaró.
“Milagros no comprende del todo, pero es una gran ayuda para nosotros. Es muy chica, pero nos dio fuerzas todo el tiempo”, contó Rita, orgullosa de su hija.
Taxista jubilado. De acuerdo a lo que relataron sus familiares, Berón hace siete años que acarrea una miocardiopatía dilatada. Y en los últimos años, su estado de salud estuvo empeorando. Hasta ayer se encontraba en estado crítico, en lista de emergencia nacional. Hace un mes que estaba internado en el Sanatorio Parque, esperando un corazón compatible.
El lunes pasado por la noche les llegó la noticia de que podía llegar un corazón adecuado a las características y necesidades de Marcos.
Y ayer, alrededor de las 6 de la mañana, bien temprano, se efectivizó el arribo y se realizó el trasplante bajo la supervisión de todo el destacado equipo del Sanatorio Parque.
Berón trabajó de taxista, pero debió jubilarse por su enfermedad. Y desde ese momento se dedicó a tareas relacionadas a armar una Mutual de la Asociación de Taxistas Autoconvocados. Siempre tuvo vocación de representación y servicio.
Por su parte, Rita es ama de casa, y cuando puede realiza reparación de celulares dentro de su hogar de barrio Belgrano. “Con eso nos entra un poco más de plata para poder encarar todo esto”, apuntó.
En tanto, la pequeña Milagros, tiene 5 años y acude al Jardín Arco Iris.
“Las madres y las señoritas del jardín se portaron extraordinariamente bien con nosotros. Sabiendo nuestra condición económica, y todo lo que estábamos pasando, nos ayudaron mucho, nos acompañaron y hasta vendieron empanadas y porciones de pizza para juntar fondos para nosotros. No alcanzan las palabras de agradecimiento para todos”, remarcó ayer Rita desde el sanatorio.
